The guiding principle at Moving On Ventures is “Connecting People to Purpose”. Professional Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people connect to their purpose. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance in their lives, career, businesses or entrepreneurial ventures. We strive to enhance clients’ quality of life. A life coach is a professional who helps clients in all areas of their lives to attain greater fulfillment. Life coaches help their clients to identify goals, uncover obstacles that could be impacting their ability to achieve those goals and create strategies for overcoming those obstacles.

Connecting People to Purpose

Moving On Ventures Coaches help to support entrepreneurs and small business owners build successful companies, offering those suggestions for growth and helping them set company goals. Coaches often provide guidance by helping them clarify the vision they have for their company and then explore how it aligns with their personal goals.

Our Story

The story of Moving On Ventures is a unique one. It grew out of the need to give back to this life that has given me so much. The coaches at MOV do not see this as a job, an occupation or a career. We see it as a calling to Ministry. When we are working at what we truly believe we are meant to do, the perspective becomes different. The care we take with our clients is evident from the first day. It is our goal to “work ourselves out of a job”. What is meant by that is simply, it is not our goal or desire to hold onto clients any longer than need be, but to give the tools and information necessary for clients to “connect to their purpose” and move on to fulfill that same purpose. For the convenience of our clients, we offer both In-Person and Virtual Sessions. if our clients want a spiritual component to their coaching experience, Christian Coaching is available. Insurance is not being accepted at this time. Insurance plan reimbursement invoices are available, if required. Sliding scale rates are available for those who qualify. Call the office for rates.
Registration paperwork details certain areas of liability, which must be reviewed before beginning with MOV. Coaching is not Psychotherapy. Mr. William Carlos and his associates are only working within the capacities of a Life Coach. Coaching can work with a variety of issues, such as those outlined in this website. If during our work together, a mental health challenge is uncovered, a referral will be made to a Physician or a Licensed Mental Health Professional in your area, to address psychological issues, such as depression and anxiety.
WILLIAM CARLOS, Head Consultant
Meet Our Head Coach
William Carlos Jr. MA, is the Head Coach and President of Moving On Ventures. Williams’ practice is based in the philosophy of the interconnectedness of the mind, body and spirit.
William, as he is known by his colleagues, started his journey into the helping profession as a teacher at a reform school for challenged youth. At that school he discovered that it was least important to teach the boys how to build a birdhouse from wood, but more important to teach them how to think positively so one day they could build a home for their family. That passion never left him and he began a journey that ultimately has brought him to this place in his long career.

Professional Background

After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the College of New Jersey, he went on to earn a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling from Montclair State University. But God wasn’t through with him yet. He continued to get valuable training and experience at the Van Ost Institute for Family Living where he was the Executive Director of the Englewood based mental health, substance abuse facility for 10 years. William was also an Adjunct college faculty member where he taught Group Dynamics and Introduction to Psychology. William also found time to do consultant work for the United States Military when he traveled to various bases throughout the country as a Military Family Life Consultant, providing support to the spouses and children of deployed military personnel. His favorite scripture is: Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
